Journey to MN

 The day before we left Telluride we had a picnic up near Bridal Veil Falls.

 A visit to Old Dog, Cass and the alpacas on the journey to Minnesota.

 A good luck hug - sending me off to Grandmas 1/2 Marathon.

 It was a beautiful evening up the cabin - time to get some sleep before the run...

Spring Break 2012

 Excuse the nudity - but the moment we got there they were ready to swim.  They also swam nude many other days too - so I guess it was just fun!!!

 We were cheezy tourists.  But it was pretty fun riding a huge, four seater bike around town.

 We went to the beach at low tide and found some amazing things.  A beautiful pink and purple start fish, tons of sea anemones and tons of surfers!

 Uncle Mean (Will) and Auntie Marie met us there for a few days - man do they love their Uncle Mean. 

Bodens 1st Birthday!!!

 It was Bode's first birthday on the 18th.  We celebrated with the family - all in birthday hats!

 Boden got a play phone - hopefully to steer him away from all the other real phones, remotes, computers etc... in the house.  My guess is it doesn't work! 

He got the classic first birthday cake.  Vanilla with whipped cream and berries.  Unlike the other Lyga children he really wanted nothing to do with it.  I don't even think he had a taste.  Hmmmm....

Hannah loves to put Bode to bed.  Actually she likes to rile him up before bed so that it takes mom a really long time to get him to sleep!  Thanks for all the help Hannah!!!  Really she is an amazing big sister!

Busy Times

George tore his ACL a few weeks ago and had to get surgery. It's been a hard recovery starting with very little use of his leg - small 5-10 minute leash walks - and now we're 4 weeks out and up to 20 minute leash walks. I can't wait until he is fully recovered and run around again! But he's doing well!
We had a great girl ski date! Hannah and her friends Ellery, Mollie, and Siri and all the mommas went out on a beautiful day for some fun runs!
We also had a wonderful dinner and Alli, Joe and Maya's house. Here is Hannah and Tanner with Caleb, Maya and Sonya. I think they were playing pirate ship!
And I couldn't leave out Hannah's elaborate valentines. This is just a sampling of some of her valentines she make for her 20 class mates. Good thing we started a week early!

Winter fun

It has been wonderful weather for skiing with the kids. Tanner has logged more days than all of us combined - he can't get enough. It's been great to be able to ski all over the mountain this year!
Yes - Bode is wearing his sisters snowpants - sometimes you just have to throw on what's laying around... Plus - he likes pink.
He also loves Kale - yum!
